ABOUT THE DIRECTOR Dr. Wayne Hinds was Lubbock Christian University's founding chairman of the Music Department, and director of its A Cappella Chorus for over 40 years. He is presently recognized as Professor Emeritus of that position. Dr. Hinds received his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Arts degrees at West Texas State University and his doctorate at George Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee. While living in Nashville, he was band director and music instructor at David Lipscomb University. Dr. Hinds has twice been named in Who's Who of America's Educators and had the LCU yearbook dedicated to him two times. Following his BME, Dr. Hinds served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Upon discharge he was selected to be the youth and education minister of an Amarillo, Texas church. He has conducted church singing workshops from California to Massachusetts.
